McCormick started her career by appearing on the TV commercial of Mattel’s newest doll, “Baby Pattaburp” in 1964. Later she got selected from the 1200 children who auditioned for the role of three teenage daughters in the the ABC television sitcom The Brady Bunch from 1969 to 1974 and eventually ended up playing teenager Marcia Brady on the show. However, like many child actors, she struggled with drug addiction along the lines of exploring her new found fame.
McCormick married actor Michael Cummings in 1985 and had a daughter with him. After marrying Cummings, McCormick confronted her depression and addictions head on. She had several stints in rehab and dabbled in experimental therapy, which proved successful. She and her family settled in Westlake, California.
Child actress Kim Richards made her acting career out of the hit 70’s TV show Nanny and the Professor by starring as the sweet and innocent Prudence Everett on the show. She also appeared in several Disney Channel Official movies such as Escape to Witch Mountain, No Deposit, No Return and Return from Witch Mountain, etc.
As an adult Richards did not have a very successful acting career. However, she has since appeared in the reality TV show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alongside her sister Kyle. They were let go from the show after five seasons. On April 15, 2015, Richards was arrested and charged with trespassing, public intoxication, resisting an officer, and battery on a police officer at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Unlike other child actors who played healthy, cute, funny and happy roles as a child actor, Blair, at a young age of 14, was selected for the role of a demonically possessed girl in the horror film The Exorcist (1973). The actress received a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award nomination for her role, and the film became a major, much-talked-about hit. Besides that she continued to act in actor and thriller shows like Murder She Wrote, MacGyver, Perry Mason and Married with Children, etc.
