#36. Paul Sorvino (Sgt. Phil Cerreta)

Sergeant Phil Cerreta joined the 27th precinct after Max Greevey was shot and killed. In 1992, Cerreta was shot in the spine by a black-market guns dealer. This led him to decision to transfer to a desk job, which exited his character. In 2015, he directed and starred in the film “The Trouble with Cali.” Unfortunately, no distribution deal was made and was not shown in theaters. However, in 2016 in had roles in multiple movies such as “The Brooklyn Banker,” “The Red Maple Leaf,” and “A Winter Rose.”

#38. John Fiore (Detective Tony Profaci)

John Fiore portrayed homicide Detective Tony Profaci, from 1990-1998. Profaci last appeared in “Exiled: A Law&Order Movie.” His partner was investigated for giving information to the mafia. It was also discovered Profaci, himself, was receiving bribes from the mafia. Since 1998, Fiore has appeared in “The Sopranos,” “Brotherhood,” “Person of Interest,” and much more. In 2016, he appeared in the film “Patriots Day,” alongside Mark Wahlberg.

#39. Steven Hill (D.A. Adam Schiff)

Between 1990-2000, Steven Hill played Adam Schiff on 229 episodes in “Law&Order,” and appeared once on “SVU.” As he was already in his late 70’s, after he left the show, Hill did not appear on camera. Unfortunately, Hill lost his battle to cancer in August 2016. He may also be remembered for his role as Daniel Briggs, the leader of an elite covert-operations unit, in the 1960’s TV series “Mission: Impossible.”

#40. William H. Burns (Officer Robbins)

William H. Burns has appeared on the “Law&order” series since 2000. His most recent prominent character was Officer Robbins on “SVU.” However, he has also played Officer Sanchez and Sergeant O’Hara, among other smaller parts. He last appeared on “SVU,” in the 2011 episode “Personal Fouls.” He hasn’t strayed far from his background, as he was most recently seen in the film “Café Society,” as a police officer.
