When Batman was first introduced into the comics back in 1939, he wasn’t exactly the dark knight that we know him to be today. With Robin at his side he was much more campy and child friendly. His worldwide popularity spawned when he was portrayed by Adam West in the hit 1960’s sitcom Batman. It was known for it’s 1960’s campiness. It saw Batman dancing, drinking in a bar amongst normal people and getting involved in a bunch of wackiness with Robin. For many years this was the image Batman had.
In 1989 Batman changed forever. Tim Burton got a hold of him and directed his image into something darker. With Michael Keaton doing the acting and Prince and Danny Elfman doing the music, we got a slew of films that brought to us the Batman we know and love today. Inspiration from the first two Batman movies gave way to Batman:The Animated Series. The show ran for three years and is still spawning animated movies to this day. In terms of film, Batman has been rehashed twice. There was The Dark Knight series in the 2000’s which starred Christian Bale and the recent Ben Affleck portrayal in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

It was popular change for her and the hero garnered more attention. She was in the hit cartoon Super Friends and at the same time the character was portrayed by Lynda Carter in a series called Wonder Woman. The show ran from 1975 to 1979. For the longest time she was who we thought of when we thought about Wonder Woman
When the 1980’s came along, Wonder Woman got a lot less screen time, but was still popping out a number of comic books. Her presence would remain this way for at least two decades until her character returned to the screen in 2001 with the Justice League cartoon show. Her character has been showing up on TV since. She has even had animated straight to DVD films released. As of today Wonder Woman has reached new heights. She is now being portrayed by Israeli actress, Gal Gadot.
