Before his breakthrough role in friends as the ever so sarcastic Chandler Bing, like his fellow cast mates on Friends, Perry did have appearances in shows such as Empty Nest, Growing Pains and Beverly Hills 90210, etc. He also appeared on movies like Fools Rush In (1997) , Almost Heroes (1998) and The Whole Nine Yards (2000). Perry struggled with alcohol and prescription medicine addiction while on the show as well.
By the 2000s Perry sobered up and turned his Malibu beach home into Perry House, a sober facility for men. He has since appeared as lawyers in shows like The Good Wife and The West Wing for which he has earned two Emmy nominations. Currently, Perry is producing, writing and starring in a TV remake of The Odd Couple, in which he plays sloppy sports writer Oscar Madison.
Schwimmer had small roles in TV shows like L.A. Law, The Wonder Years, and NYPD Blue before landing the role of sweet and geeky paleontologist Ross Gellar. It turns out the producer based the character just for Schwimmer, and while playing the role, he channeled his inner Nicolas Cage’s character in the 1986 movie Peggy Sue Got Married. Ross and Rachael’s on and off again relationship kept fueling the ratings of the show, Schwimmer also got to go behind reels and direct few episodes in the show.
Apparently, Schwimmer let down the Will Smith’s role in Men In Black for a starring role in The Pallbearer (1996), followed by some more “meh” movies including Kissing a Fool (1998), Six Days Seven Nights (1998), and Picking Up the Pieces (2000). However he has recently opted for a change in angst-ridden, emotional performance as Robert Kardashian in the TV adaptation show, American Crime Story: The People v O.J. Simpson.
Thanks to a childhood spent popping up in countless commercials, TV shows, and movies, along with a run on the sitcom Cybill, Masterson got his acting career which landed him a gig on the hit 90’s show titled The 70’s show. He played the role of the sarcastic kid Hyde, which quickly became a fan favorite.
