80’s star Boy George first gained fame while in the British pop group Culture Club, known for the songs “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me,” “Time (Clock of the Heart),” and “Karma Chameleon.” Boy George became known for his androgynous appearance and for his voice, later launching a solo career after the band split up, though they have reunited several times. After enlisting help of a nutritional therapist, Boy George lost a huge amount of weight while in his 50’s!
Adam Richman began to participate in competitive eating and eating for a living when he started hosting the Travel Channel’s Man V. Food. To counterbalance eating copious amounts of food, he would exercise twice a day and drink a lot of water. However, it was not enough and Richman became overweight and unhappy. Once he left the show, he worked with a nutritionist and began to exercise. He started to play soccer in order to enjoy working out, and managed to lose 70 pounds.
