Kerrigan is best known for the 1994 scandal “The Whack Heard Round the World.” Kerrigan was on her way to the locker room before the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, when Shane Stant, fellow competitor Tonya Harding’s ex-husband’s friend, hit her in the leg with a police baton. Tonya pleaded guilty to a felony of hindering the prosecution. Nancy went on to win silver at the 1994 Winter Olympics just weeks later. Kerrigan was a Winter Olympics correspondent in 2010 and 2014. Recently, she announced she will be the executive producer on a documentary about eating disorders in sports.
