#46. Tragic Script Write-Off

Divine, best known for being a drag queen and filmmaker John Waters’ protégé, was supposed to appear on the wrap-up episode of the second season of Married… with Children as Uncle Otto. Sadly, the performer died in his sleep in a hotel room just hours after rehearsals and dinner with friends–just a day before he was set to film for the show in March 1988.

Al Bundy was definitely the main focus of the show. Actor Ed O’Neill, therefore, was included in every script and appeared in every single episode of Married… with Children. That makes Ed O’Neill the only member of the cast to appear in all 260 episodes, plus the pilot episodes. What a guy, he must’ve enjoyed playing an interesting, unpredictable character!
