Barack and Michelle were so busy the last few years that they basically had no time for friends. The little free time they had, they used to raise the children. When their children grew older and became much more independent, the couple often hosted dinners at the White House to meet new people. But even when they did have time to make friends, it didn’t quite fascinate them as much anymore. They probably made the right choice, though.
